Two blue ground silk brocade fragments
Kangxi and Qianlong periods
The smaller fragment on a dark blackish-blue silk ground woven with four-clawed dragons facing a shou medallion beneath a flaming pearl, their bodies and the medallion worked in two shades of gilt-wrapped threads, with other details in faded blue, green, red and white threads; the larger fragment of two pieces joined vertically along the center to form a front-facing, five-clawed dragon surrounded by cloud scrolls woven in faded red, green, white and dark blue threads on a medium blue ground.
