Serial no. 17812, 12 gauge. 30 inch barrels with single silver bead and concave rib marked Sold by John Rigby & Co. 43 Sackville Street, London, W. Birmingham Nitro Proof. Ejectors. Automatic safety with gold SAFE. Casehardened boxlock action. Double triggers. Checkered walnut fore-end and straight grip stock of partly figured walnut. Checkered butt. Vacant escutcheon. Green baize-lined fabric-covered case with Rigby trade label.
Condition: Very good. Barrels retain 65-70% blued finish. Bright bores with some light marks. Action retains slight traces of casehardening colors. Triggerguard free of finish and showing some light pitting. Sound wood with scattered light marks and one small, deep bruise to right side of buttstock. Case exterior with considerable wear and staining. Lining with staining, wear and some small tears.
