A British hussar officer's busby by Hawkes & Company
Of brown sable fur with gold thread button and cap lines, red wool bag with gold thread trim and gimp button, red velour-backed gilt brass chinscales, tan leather sweatband, red satin liner with gilt-stamped label for Hawkes & Company. Later red feather plume with gilt socket.
Condition: Fine. Minor mothing to bag. Staining to sweat band. Label faded.
