A set of Civil War soldier's equipment
attributed to Sergeant Dexter Walker, 11th Maine Infantry
Comprising: 1) Model 1864 cartridge pouch, no maker's markings, tinned inserts present. Containing two papers attributing use of this equipment Dexter Walker of East Fryeburg, Maine. 2) Unmarked cap pouch containing paper inscribed Dexter Walker. 3) Standard Springfield bayonet, the blade marked US, retaining the black leather scabbard and frog. 4) Associated blue web waist belt.
Condition: Leather showing some wear and some surface flaking. Cap pouch with one broken belt loop.
