An American militia cartridge pouch
circa 1810-30
Black leather pouch, the large flap with scalloped lower edge and incised with a pattern of intersecting double lines. Wooden block with 24 .69 caliber cavities. Front of pouch fitted with brass ball button, the back sewn with two belt loops.
Condition: Fine overall, the flap with one area of surface flaking/crazing, the underside missing the attachment loop. One belt loop detached at lower end.
Size: 10" x 3 1/2" x 4".
