Footnotes

  • The Pagoda was sold in 1997 to commemorate the inauguration of Patek Philippe's new watchmaking center in Geneva. The watch was inspired by reference 2441 "Eiffel Tower" made in the 1950's.

    The reference 5500, a Gentleman's model, was made in a limited edition of 2000 watches in all metals while the Lady's model, Ref. 4900, was made in a total of 750 examples. The present lot was made in a limited edition of 1100 pieces.
