Footnotes

  • The Longines 13ZN chronograph movement is considered by many as one of the most beautiful and reliable integrated chronograph movement ever made. Introduced in 1936, the 13ZN was the first chronograph movement with semi instantaneous counters, This allowed the subdial counters to immediately and instantaneously indicate the chronograph's exact timing. This reliable and precise movement introduced before the Second World War was rapidly put to Military use.

Longines created many versions of large wristwatches during this period including models with a monopusher or classic two pusher combination. After the Second World War, the caliber was replaced by the Longines 30CH mostly due to its high cost of production. Today watches fitted with the 13ZN are collectors' cult favorites.
