MONTBLANC: Meisterstück 149 75th Anniversary Solid Gold Skeleton Fountain Pen & Automatic Watch, Limited Edition 75
In observance of its 75th anniversary, Montblanc's master craftsmen created the world's first skeleton pen and paired it with a solid gold automatic watch. Using the classic Meisterstück 149 as their model, they skeletonized the pen, revealing the perfection of the design by eliminating all superfluities. The result was this extraordinary instrument, the true grail of Montblancs and perhaps the most coveted of all fine pens.

The skeleton overlay is crafted of 18 karat solid gold over a translucent precious resin barrel. This innovative design galvanized the pen world and ignited a revolution in pen design. The pen's filigree is engraved with elegant scrollwork on the rings and clip, and the telescopic piston is likewise engraved and signed by the master engraver. The medium 18K gold nib, in large Diplomat size, is richly ornamented. The watch has scratch-resistant crystals on the front and back, showcasing the automatic Piaget movement, which is elaborately engraved. The 18 karat gold rotor is set with a mother-of-pearl Montblanc star, as is the crown. Every detail of both pen and watch, internal and external, reflect the highest standards of craftsmanship and design.

Includes domed magnifying box, created by Montblanc to showcase this set. Outer boxes, display boxes & service guide are present. Limited Edition: both pieces 06/75.
