This is a uniformly premium quality original set, each coin well balanced in appearance. Included are: 1937 Lincoln cent, handsome deep-rose color to brilliant finish features; 1937 Buffalo nickel, a fully struck piece with a splash of pale silver tinting that is more extensive on the reverse; 1937 Mercury dime, rose-gold and gunmetal-blue tinting that is deeper at the rims; 1937 Washington quarter, with streaky gray-gold tinting; and a 1937 Walking Liberty half dollar, with a full strike and some silver-gray toning that is slightly deeper at the borders. Second rarest of the modern U.S. Mint proof sets, the 1937 was distributed to the extent of no more than 5,542 sets.
