1926 $20 MS64 NGC
P-mint double eagle production dipped to just 816,750 pieces in 1926. Even so, many numismatists are not aware of how much rarer the 1926 is than the 1924, 1927, 1928 and even the underrated 1925. This high-end near-Gem combines a rose-gold obverse with a similar yellow-gold reverse. Lustrous and quite smooth surfaces are noted for both sides.
