Lot 1315
1852 $20
The 1852 may be among the more plentiful Type One double eagles in an absolute sense, but Mint State survivors remain rare. This is a lovely yellow-gold survivor with a softly frosted texture to sharply struck devices. Wispy abrasions do little more than help define the grade, as none are of sufficient size to catch the eye. A very unusual high grade offering that would serve as a highlight an Uncirculated double eagle set. (PCGS 8906)
