1856 $10
Despite its status as only a scarce issue in an absolute sense, the 1856 ten dollar is quite rare in Mint State. An obviously important Choice BU survivor, both sides possess khaki-gold color and vibrant, satiny mint luster. One can also discern the most modest suggestions of brightness in the fields, but only at direct light angles. Sharply struck over all devices save for the obverse stars, the surfaces are remarkable free of all but the smallest handling marks. (PCGS 8619) Choice Uncirculated
