1857-C $5
Struck in bright yellow-gold with ample luster in the fields and minimal circulation marks. The strike is generally sharp and the color is pleasing. In fact, the fields impart a partially reflective appearance as the coin is turned under a light. For identification, a single small milling mark is on Liberty's lower jaw and the coin has been cleaned at one time. One of just 31,360 pieces struck at Charlotte. (PCGS 8272) About Uncirculated to Brilliant Uncirculated, cleaned
