An instantly saleable coin, this problem-free example would fit nicely into a budget-minded gold type set. True, both sides are notably worn, but we stress that all major design elements are fully present. The date and C mintmark are very bold, and there is some intricate detail remaining in the recessed areas of Liberty's portrait and the reverse eagle. Green-gold and deep red colors compete for dominance as the coin rotates under a light. The surfaces are quite smooth despite extensive circulation. A more affordable, yet still relatively problem-free representative of Liberty half eagle production in the Charlotte Mint. (PCGS 8254)
