Fully struck in the usual bright yellow-gold with a hint of green, typical of the gold from the Dahlonega region. The strike is sharp on all devices, save for the eagle's neck feathers, and the surfaces show a pronounced prooflike effect in the fields on each side. One of the more available issues from this mint, always a delight in high grade to collect, with the large formal "D" on the reverse for the mintmark. Scarce this well preserved, the majority found today range about 15 to 20 grade points lower than this of the date and mint. (PCGS 8221) About Uncirculated to Brilliant Uncirculated
