1911-D $2.5 MS64 NGC
A frosty and lustrous honey-gold example of the undisputed king of the Indian quarter eagle series. The luster is completely unbroken on the design highpoints, a true sign of the Choice nature of the present coin. In addition, even close examination fails to reveal any notable marks or abrasions. Close examination shows a partial wire edge, a trait common to the '11-D issue. From a mintage for the date of 55,680 pieces - the next lowest mintage figure of the design type is more than four times larger than that of the 1911-D. Choice for the grade, this piece will be the focal point of your high grade collection. (PCGS 7943)
