1896-S $1
This example is boldly defined in the absence of all but light highpoint rub. A diagonal swath of antique-golden color is displayed on the reverse. A lateral milling mark is mentioned on Liberty's cheek, otherwise, the surfaces are curiously smooth with a somewhat glossy texture. Ex: William C. Kerr Sale, Steve Ivy Numismatic Auctions, Lot 928.
