In the present work, Yukenbarri (born ca. 1977) depicts her mothers country, Winpurpurla, an area south of Balgo, in the Great Sandy Desert. The central circle in the painting is named Winpururla, illustrating a place with good water. Women travel to Winpurpurla to collect seeds that are ground and used for food; all illustrated by bold colors with intricate dots and symbols.
