SHAW, GEORGE BERNARD. 1856-1950.
Autograph Note, 1 p, 3 by 5 inches, [Hertfordshire, July 24, 1944], to his biographer F.E. Lowenstein, responding to his request for a lock of hair, and written below the biographer's request: "You idiot, my hair is white, like any other old man's hair. Cut a wisp off the nearest white dog: it will do just as well." Mild toning. WITH: a lock of Shaw's hair cut in 1949, and the original collection envelope initialed and dated by Lowenstein. All three items framed together.
