3. JUSTINIANUS I. Elementa sive: institutiones iuris civilis. Venice: [F. Rampazeto], 1572. 8vo (175 x 120 mm). a-f8 A-2Y8 2Z8 (-2Z7-8, blank). Period vellum. A few gatherings including first working loose, title soiled.
The first work with extensive, almost gleeful, period marginalia apparently by Jean de Montfalcon of Savoy, including coats of arms and several cityscapes with conical tiled towers.
