2 parts in one volume. 12mo (155 x 92 mm). [ii], 268; 376 pp. Period French calf, gilt arms on covers. Title with paper flaw at lower fore-corner, occasional light toning, heavily rubbed, several wormholes in spine.
Provenance: Nicolas Leclerc de Lesseville, Comte de Brioude [1642-1737], or possibly his son (arms on covers); Edouard Fournier [1819-1880] (ownership inscription on title dated June 18, 1867).

Apparently a variant of the first issue of this auction catalogue, with the title dated 1688 rather than 1687. Other issues appeared in 1690, 1692 and 1698. At the end of the sale are nine globes by Janssonius, Blaeu, and others, and a number of telescopes and other instruments.
