Benzi was a noted physician and taught in Bologna, Padua, Florence, Perugia, and Ferrara around the 1390s and 1400s. One of the best interpreters of the ancient medical writers, he wrote commentaries on Hippocrates, Galen, Avicenna, and others. Not in Adams; Wellcome I, 3348.
