Folio (310 x 215 mm). a-p8 q6 (-q6, ?blank). Woodcut initials and printer's device at colophon. Modern limp boards. a6-8 cleanly torn into text and repaired, blank bottom quarter of title remargined, previous owner's inkstamp at colophon.
Provenance: E. Malan de Merindol (bookplate).
Benzi was a noted physician and taught in Bologna, Padua, Florence, Perugia, and Ferrara around the 1390s and 1400s. One of the best interpreters of the ancient medical writers, he wrote commentaries on Hippocrates, Galen, Avicenna, and others. Not in Adams; Wellcome I, 3348.
