Full period calf, rebacked and refurbished with original spine laid down, gilt spine and dentelles, marbled endpapers and edges. Faint offsetting from a few plates, small dampstain to blank bottom margin of six leaves, some rubbing and a few scuffs to binding.
FIRST EDITION. Featuring 42 hand-colored bird engravings, 5 mammals, 1 tortoise, and 2 entomological plates. Nissen 151; Sitwell p 82.
