2 volumes. Elephant folio (631 x 484 mm). Mezzotint portrait frontispiece, vignette title, and 587 engraved plates printed back to back on 152 sheets, with 45 suppressed plates on 23 sheets. Period quarter morocco and marbled boards, rebacked with original gilt spines laid down. Vol 1: light spotting to title page, occasional spotting and a few plates browned, vol 2: plates spotted throughout, tear to bottom edge just touching caption in plate 6, repair to torn title page, bindings rubbed and scratched, remains of wax seals to covers of vol 2.
