Oblong 4to (247 x 356 mm).  page preface and 42 hand colored plates (including title), each containing several designs. Period half-morocco, raised bands, gilt spine, titles stamped large in gilt to upper cover, all edges gilt. Some soiling to title, text leaf and to margins of plates, small repair to lower margin of final plate, a few stray spots, binding rubbed at joint.
FIRST EDITION. A second volume was undertaken but never completed. Tooley 57.
