16mo (109 x 69 mm). A-V8. Title in architectural surround; copious woodcut illustrations to fables. Later mottled calf, spine gilt in compartments, red morocco lettering-piece. Custom cloth case. Ink marks to verso of title; wear to corners and joints.
Provenance: D. Meachem (ownership inscription dated 1907).
Rare early Plantin edition of Aesop's fables, charmingly illustrated.
