2 volumes in one. 8vo (153 x 89 mm). [3]-224; 208, [15] pp. First title and first page of first fable printed in red and black. Engraved frontispiece. Fables illustrated with half-page engravings. Full green morocco gilt by Petit-Simier, red morocco inlays to covers and spine compartments, all edges gilt. Spine evenly tanned.
Lovely copy in an attractive French binding. The engravings are mostly signed [Jacques] Harrewyn and are dark impressions.
