Folio (334 x 210 mm). [1], [14], 507, [8] + slip of arms, [36]. Errata. Double-page engraved map, 16 plates (11 double-page, 2 folding), and numerous illustrations (14 full-page) by Wenceslaus Hollar after Richard Hall, 4 leaves and one slip of crests, engraved headpieces and initials, title page printed in red and black. Period calf rebacked and recornered, raised bands, gilt spine panels. Tear to folding plate of the "Church of Newark upon Trent," map of Nottingham scored and annotated in period holograph, toning to some leaves, hinges reinforced by cloth tape.
Provenance: Sir Robert Throckmorton (armorial bookplate; ownership signature to title); William Allen Potter (armorial bookplate).

FIRST EDITION. Complete, including the uncommon slip containing 8 additional coats of arms. Wing T1063.
