4to (208 x 160 mm). [8], 378 pp. Engraved title-page and 52 half-page vignettes by Christoph Le Blon, Johannes Gelles, Albert van der Poel, Willem de Passe and Jan Swelinck after Adriaan de Venne. Later half morocco, gilt-ruled. Some speckling to title, binding lightly rubbed.

Fine copy of De Brune's love emblems with rich impressions of the "specially remarkable" (Praz) engravings which incorporate wonderful detail of formal gardens, contemporary costume, tools and pastimes, etc. Landwehr Low Countries 88, Praz 288.
