A fine George II style walnut double chair back settee
probably Irish
second half 19th century
In the manner of Butler of Dublin, the scalloped crest surmounted by finely carved reticulated shells suspending delicate swagged tassels above spoon back profile vasiform splats and out scrolled arms ending in eagle's head terminals over a shaped seat raised on cabriole legs, further carved with adorsed eagle's heads ending in ball and claw feet.
