June Miles was born in London and studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and West of England College of Art, Bristol before teaching at the Bristol Polytechnic faculty of art and design. She was married to Paul Feiler from 1946-1967 and later remarried the sculptor Paul Mount. A successful artist in her own right, she enjoyed many group and solo exhibitions and examples are held by Royal West of England Academy and also Plymouth and Bristol City Art Galleries.
