the cavetto painted with stylised blossoms against gilt grounds within green leaf sprays, centred with a black Imperial eagle and inscribed with the title of Nicholas I, the borders with trailing blue and green flowers on gilt ground, the reverse with blue Imperial cypher for Nicholas I and partial red inventory number
