maker's mark AT in Cyrillic, St. Petersburg, 1908-1914
of oval form with two scrolls on top, mounted with Russian double-headed eagle under Imperial crown, arched-shaped reserve with front of the steam train, with enamel inscription in Cyrillic Upper Volga Railroad and date 1914, reverse with enamel inscription in Cyrillic A.Ya.Teitel', on suspension ring, 56 standard
length with ring: 4.5cm (1 3/4in).

Footnotes

  • The Upper Volga Railroad was designed by F. N. Mamontov and built in 1914. It connected the station Berendeevo on the Northern railroad and station Zavidovo on the Nikolaevskaia railroad. Its route included stops at the cities of Pereyaslovl'-Zalesskii and Kaliazin.

    Верхнее-Волжская железная дорога была построена в 1914 г. по проекту Ф. Н. Мамонтова и соединяла станцию Берендеево Северных железных дорог и станцию Завидово Николаевской железной дороги. Проходила через города Переславль-Залесский и Калязин.
