exquisitely painted in the traditional manner in colours and gold, the shaped upper third with the Annunciation above four depictions of the Evangelists, most painted within architectural surrounds, St. John, as usual, depicted before a cave with his Disciple Prokhor, the verso of each with a roundel inscribed in Cyrillic 'For the well-being of the maiden Sophia'
