Arabic manuscript on paper, 329 leaves, 17 lines to the page written in minute naskhi script in black ink with diacritics and vowel points in red and black, red markers between verses, inner margins ruled in gold, lacking catchwords, the words juz and hizb written in naskhi script in red in outer margins, sura headings written in thuluth script in gold, one illuminated frontispiece in colours and gold, waterstaining affecting some areas of text, damaged areas of text crudely repaired at a later date, Ottoman brown morocco, covers decorated with a diaper pattern in gold, doublures of a light brown morocco gilt, with flap with similar decoration to covers
