with rounded sides and flaring rim, decorated in a brownish gold lustre with cobalt-blue, the centre with a seated male figure reserved on an palmette ground, the sides with bands of palmetttes, scrolling foliate vines and roundels, the rim with a frieze of cursive inscription, the exterior cobalt-blue, the base with a fragmentary label
