Coptic and Arabic manuscript on paper, 235 leaves, 18 lines to the page in black ink, headings picked out in red ink, occasional Arabic headings written in naskhi script in black ink, rodent damage to corners, some waxstaining otherwise in good condition, contemporary red morocco decorated with stamped floral sprays, damaged and laid down on boards covered with red leather, 317 x 227 mm.; a book of Saints and Martyrs used in the Coptic liturgy, Egypt, dated 28th August 1874, Arabic and Coptic manuscript on paper, 155 leaves, 18 lines to the page written in clear naskhi script in black ink, significant words and sentences picked out in red, the start of the text of some chapters indicated by a stylised bird, one architectural archway drawn in ink and decorated with four crosses in red and black, some worming, waxstaining, discoloration, contemporary brown leather with stamped central medallions, florets and bands, worn, tears to spine, doublures of pink paper, 315 x 225 mm.; a book of prayers recited during Holy Week according to the Coptic Church, Egypt, 18th/19th Century, Coptic and Arabic manuscript on paper, 107 leaves, approximately 13 lines to the page, Arabic text written in naskhi script in black ink, headings and significant words picked out in red ink, panels filled with geometric ornamentation predominantly in green, red and brown, edges frayed, waxstaining, corners thumbed, boards covered with pink paper, damaged, rebacked
