    Both paintings are signed (in the oval cartouches) by Babur 'Ali Khan. The texts in panels give the full name of the Emperor (above the portrait), his birth date, place of birth, age, length of reign, date of accession, place of accession, death date and burial place. The side panels bear two Persian couplets on the right side on the accession and the single couplet on the left is on the death date of each emperor.
