of inverted pear-shaped form on a round foot with scroll handle, the waisted neck with hinged lid terminating in a tapering pouring spout, the body profusely chased and embossed with a band containing scenes of quadrupeds in combat and a man and his horse savaged by lions amid floral and foliate scrolls, above and below further bands of scrolling floral vines and acanthus leaves, the base stamped with maker's mark: O.M BHUJ
