each of arched form, the central section containing a mirror in split-palmette design overlaid on a ground of stained glass flowers in red, blue, yellow, and green, outer band of geometric stars between minor floral bands, outer border of mirror cartouches on a green glass ground

  • A pair of similarly worked windows and panels were sold at Christie's (Christie's, Art of the Islamic and Indian Worlds, 6 October 2011, Lots 288, 289, 290, 292) and attributed to Iran and the 19th Century. However, a series of window panels in the Benaki Museum, Greece are attributed to Egypt and to the 15th-18th Centuries. A reception room in the Metropolitan Museum of Art from Damascus, Syria and dated AH 1119/ AD 1707 contains similar windows in stucco rather than wood.
