Persia, 16th Century
of baluster form, with simple curved handle attached the neck and body, and decorated in cobalt blue with a pattern of large flower heads to body and single flower sprays to neck, the rim with band of hatched designs
20.5 cm. high

  • Provenance: Property of a Gentleman.

    Kubachi ware is now attributed to Tabriz. The elements of the design draw on Chinese originals. The potteries were set up by craftsmen coming from Samarqand in the 15th century.
