Length of back 380mm (14 15/16in) the back canted towards button of one piece, without overhanging ribs, table same, the flame soundholes with minor repair, the rose aperture with later filling, of a pleasing red brown colour, restorations. (1)

    The above Viola d' Amore was loaned to the Museum in 1902, believed to be Rugeri, sold as part of the post War Whittaker Sale, bought by G.N.Bunyard then gifted back to the Museum circa 1960.
