The scrolling gallery with pierced carrying handles and roundels to each corner, above a pair of featherbanded doors on square chamfered legs with pierced fret brackets, with paper label to the underside, 'LADY BERWICK, ATT PK, 1323', 51cm wide, 37cm deep, 79cm high (20" wide, 14.5" deep, 31" high).

  • Provenance: probably Lady Berwick, Attingham Park.
    Thomas Henry, the eighth Lord Berwick, moved to Attingham after his marriage to Teresa Hulton in 1919. The eighth Lord and Lady Berwick continued to live at Attingham until their deaths in 1947 and 1972 respectively.
