probably by James M'Pherson of Edinburgh
The rounded rectangular flame veneered top with moulded edge, above rope twist scrolling ends and spirally turned supports joined by spirally ring turned stretchers, on hipped downswept moulded and leaf carved legs, with lion paw feet, with castors, numbered '4838' and signed in pencil to the underside J.Macpherson?, 121cm wide, 70cm deep, 72cm high (47.5" wide, 27.5" deep, 28" high).
