  • SCARCE FINE VIEWS depicting the voyage of H.M.S. Investigator to the Arctic. The expedition, led by Robert McLure, was the second to go in search of Franklin. The ship was entrapped in the ice as it was entering the North-West Passage in late 1851, and was subsequently abandoned by the crew in 1853.
