  • The beginning of the album shows photographs of the regiment en route to India via Egypt (Suez and Port Said) including views of the British war ships, such as HMS Jupiter, the Suez canal and the dock at Bombay. Other images include records of local Indian life, including cattle drawn carts and local customs. There are numerous architectual views in Mysore, including the Maharaja's Palace, described as "the most gorgeous building [he'd] ever seen." Other images include regimental life in Mussorie, Deolali and Rawal Pindi.
