Scott's Last Message, 4-page etched facsimile of the last entry in Scott's diary ('Message to Public'), printed on thin paper and with printed transcription facing, original wrappers, front wrapper with title below a stipple-engraved vignette of the 'Terra Nova', printed in blue and SIGNED BY TEDDY EVANS ("E.R.G.R.EVANS/ Gib. 1918"), and with a pencil note by Frank H. Hall ("sent to me by my son Frank/ Pay Lieut Frank M Hall RN/ F H hall 1918"), creases where previously folded, slight soiling at egdes, 8vo, no place or publisher, [c.1918?]

  • A PIECE OF RARE SCOTT EPHEMERA, no copies traced on Copac or WorldCat. Evans' signature, and presumably Frank Hall's note, were added in Gibraltar in 1918, where Evans was employed on the scout Active, escorting convoys to and from the peninsula.
