A Victorian silver three-piece coffee service
by Alexander Smith, London 1868-71
Baluster form with fluted sides and beaded rims, the bodies embossed with ribboned swags and festoons around central gadrooned oval reserves, bead-capped scroll handles, the coffee pot with ivory insulators, the high-dome cover with guilloche band and bell finial, on circular beaded bases, height of coffee pot 23.5cm, weight 44.5oz. (3)
