A Victorian silver salver
James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield 1879
Circular form with pierced lattice-work borders and beaded rims, the centre bright engraved with foliate scrolls and husks; together with a Victorian beaker, by Walter & John Barnard, London 1892, of tapering cylindrical form, embossed with a band of acanthus leaves, flowers and c-scrolls with a vacant scroll-border cartouche, gilt interior, a silver gilt sugar swing-handled basket and matching sifter spoon, by John Aldwinckle & James Slater, London 1883, the basket with beaded borders and scrolling foliate decoration, two circular reserves, one engraved with a crest, raised on an oval foot, the spoon similarly decorated, height of beaker 12.5cm, diameter of salver 20.5cm, weight 22.5oz. (4)
