An impressive suite of eight Old Sheffield plate candlesticks and candelabra
by Matthew Boulton, circa 1780
Two with candelabra attachments, the detachable drip-pans with gadrooned rims, the reeded branches with leaf embellishments, central detachable flame finials, the candlesticks with waisted capitals and gadrooned baluster bodies, on tapering acanthus embellished stems, each raised on a stepped circular base with demi-flutes and embossed egg and dart border, height with candelabra attachment 65cm.
